Catalan newspaper Sport claims Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is ‘obsessed’ about making a Galactico signing after allowing Cristiano Ronaldo to join Juventus.
Neymar and Kylian Mbappe were the two main targets for the Champions League winners. The duo have publicly expressed their desire to continue at Paris Saint-Germain and therefore the La Liga outfit are looking at Chelsea star Eden Hazard.
He is the ‘most accessible’ target and the Spanish capital club will focus all their efforts on signing the 27-year-old. The forward is ‘seduced’ by the idea of playing for Real Madrid and Perez is willing to make an ‘important’ offer.
A move to Santiago Bernabeu will see him play in the Champions League, something he will not be able to achieve if he continues at Chelsea. Negotiations with the FA Cup winners are proving to be complicated because the Blues are demanding €200m for their player.
The asking price is deemed too high by Perez and another major stumbling block will be negotiating with Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich.
Even though the report mentions Real Madrid’s interest in Hazard, it’s made very clear this will be a difficult move to complete.
