Tottenham are getting closer to Alessandro Bastoni and convince him of a move to the club this summer.
That’s according to journalist Fabio Santini, who says the Italian club have already started preparations to find a replacement.
Bastoni has established himself as one of the key players for Inter Milan over the last two years after returning from a loan spell at Parma.
He was a star of the side that won the title under Antonio Conte, and that’s led to the Italian coach being keen on a reunion at Tottenham this summer.
Inter Milan had initially been reluctant to let the defender go, putting a huge figure on Bastoni’s head to try and ward off interest.
That’s not put off Tottenham, though, and they’ve continued to be linked with a move; with it explained earlier today, they were bouncing between signing either him or Gleison Bremer.
Who they choose to focus on remains to be seen, but according to Santini, there has been a move to talk to Bastoni.
“Inter takes and sells champions, now it sells Bastoni,” he told Calciomercato.it.
“In the last few hours, there has been a rapprochement between Bastoni and Tottenham, and Inter is already preparing itself by targeting Feyenoord defender Marcos Senesi.”
