Even though Eintracht Frankfurt’s squad is still buzzing with qualification for the Europa League final against Rangers, they shouldn’t take their celebrations too far.
The players from the Bundesliga side are now set to have a couple of days off on Tuesday and Wednesday, but despite that spare time, they’ve been told not to have any ‘party trips’ ahead of facing Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s side.
“All forces should be mobilised. I’ve told the players I don’t want to read they’re going on a party trip,” said Frankfurt boss Oliver Glasner.
Quoting Glasner, German outlet Bild mentions Ibiza as one of the potential destinations the manager doesn’t want his players to travel to.
Frankfurt still have a final game against Mainz 05 in the Bundesliga next weekend, and only then they can completely focus on the Europa League final versus Rangers.
Following a 2-1 win in London, Eintracht Frankfurt guaranteed their qualification by beating West Ham United 1-0 in Germany last week.
Rangers, who trailed 1-0 to RB Leipzig in the semi-final first leg, had a tougher mission for the decisive game at the Ibrox, and ended up getting through by winning the second game 3-1.
The German and the Scottish sides now play the final in Seville on the 18th of May.
