Rangers are among the clubs keeping a close eye on Anderlecht youngster Francis Amuzu as he continues to shine in Belgium.
That’s according to L’Avenir, who say Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s side are ‘following his performances closely’.
Amuzu has been impressing with Anderlecht this season, with a tally of four goals and four assists so far, meaning he has already bettered his tally from last season and attracted interest from Rangers and others.
This season is shaping up to be his best one yet, and the future appears to be bright for the 22-year-old, who moved to Belgium as a youngster in 2015 and has steadily worked his way up the ranks at the club since.
He already has 11 goals and 15 assists in 129 games for the club, a tally that is only likely to improve if he continues to perform as he has this season.
It seems his performances have not gone unnoticed either, with L’Avenir reporting that ‘several clubs’ are ‘following his performances closely’.
Rangers are among them, but no offer has been made at this point. Even if one were to arrive, Anderlecht would not let him go ‘at the moment’ although he is seen as a player who can ’bring a fortune’.
For that to happen, he will have to be a ‘safe bet’ and prove ‘decisive’ in almost every game, something which he isn’t at the moment.
Should he fix that, though, he could be an ‘interesting’ player on the transfer market, and Rangers will seemingly be keeping a close eye on him to see if he does.
