Italian outlet Calcio Mercato today features a piece on the situation of AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie, whose contract with the Rossoneri expires at the end of the season.

Their report explains that both player and club would like to continue their relationship, but each on their own financial terms, so they haven’t been able to reach an agreement for now.

That of course opens room for transfer rumours, with Tottenham Hotspur and Paris Saint Germain being named as the clubs who’d like to take him away from Italy.

Regarding Spurs, it’s said that they’re ‘in the lead’ among Premier League sides, as there have been ‘many expressions of interest’ coming from England. PSG, meanwhile, are claimed to have been pressing ‘for months’.

Calcio Mercato dismisses the claims which said Kessie already has agreements with other clubs. They say the ‘game is still open’, with Milan insisting on sorting out a new deal.

Even though Tottenham look strong in the competition for now, it seems clear that the 25-year-old won’t be short of good offers on his table.
