This Thursday, Glasgow Rangers striker Eduardo Herrera posted a story on Instagram showing he’s been studying during his time off.

The 29-year-old has shown he’s been reading about sports psychology, in what apparently is a course given by Universidad Siglo 21, from Argentina.

Well, that was enough for the Mexican media to cover it, and to relate Herrera’s studies to his current form at the Ibrox side.

Outlet Medio Tempo has reported it saying it’s the player’s Rangers ‘inactivity’ under Graeme Murty that has convinced him to do this course, as he’s been sent to the bench and is currently ‘waiting for the end of the season’.

Murty has Alfredo Morelos as his goal getting man this season, and Jason Cummings started at the weekend for Rangers against Hearts.

The website shows Herrera’s disappointing stats, as he’s played his last league match back in December, and claims that he’s been much affected by Pedro Caixinha’s farewell from Rangers, and Murty subsequently taking over.

Even though Medio Tempo doesn’t have any info on Herrera’s future, their tone sounds like the feeling in Mexico is that he shold be off from Rangers soon.
