Having just finalised the deals for Kemar Roofe and Cédric Itten, it almost feels like Rangers are preparing the exit of Alfredo Morelos.
Almost…
We say that because despite Lille’s efforts to sign the Colombian following their sale of Victor Osimhen to Napoli, Rangers are ‘not satisfied’ with the first attempts, according to La Voix du Nord.
It’s said Steven Gerrard’s side received an offer of ‘around €15m’ for Morelos from the Ligue 1 side, while the Ibrox brass want a fee of around €20m for their prolific goalscorer.
That’s because they know there’s a lot of interested parties in the forward, and there’s nothing like a little bidding war to get those prices up.
Either way, should Lille manage to convince Rangers to sell Morelos, and get Jonathan David from KAA Gent on top of that, then Jonathan Ikoné will most likely have to make way.
As La Voix du Nord say, ‘you can’t have everything’.
Either way, it appears to be €20m or nothing for Morelos as things stand.
