OFK forward Saman Ghoddos has given a strong indication he’ll not be leaving the Swedish club in this transfer window.
The 23 year old has been linked with a move to Queens Park Rangers in the past week, following reports an offer has been made by the Championship side.
Speaking to Expressen after his Europa League heroics on Thursday night, the QPR target was asked about his future at OFK: “I’m very lucky to stay, I’m good at Östersund. I just want to play in the Europa League, and now I can join this adventure.”
When asked about his thoughts on leaving OFK before the deadline, Ghoddos added: “No thoughts at all.”
Earlier this week Swedish newspaper Expressen claimed Ghoddos could leave OFK if they failed to get into the group stages of the Europa League.
However, the Swede netted two goals against PAOK to send them through to the next round.
Ghoddos’ comments will come as a blow to QPR after they tabled a bid of £1.9m to sign the OFK forward. QPR’s initial bid was rejected, but OFK’s leaders gave an indication they are willing to sell for the right price.
