Eliaquim Mangala has been linked with several clubs this summer after it became clear Valencia wouldn’t, or couldn’t, activate their option to buy the Manchester City defender.

Playing for a Valencia side which once again was all over the place, and in an unstable position at an unstable club, Mangala did a good job and if circumstances were different, Valencia would have made the move permanent.

Now, PSG are considering signing Mangala from Manchester City, report France Football. It’s explained that PSG would prefer a loan rather than signing the defender outright, which could prove an interesting option for both clubs.

The French side want four good central defenders, and someone to add to Marquinhos, Thiago Silva, and Presnel Kimpembe. As long as he could get a decent amount of games, which would be the big question, PSG would prove to be a good stage for Mangala to prove his level.

Whether the defender would accept what looks to be a back-up role, or even be keen on another loan, remains to be seen, but there’s not a great deal of options right now.
