Juventus manager Max Allegri has held a meeting with the club to discuss January transfer window targets, including Arsenal’s Thomas Partey.
That’s according to Sky Italia and journalist Gianluca di Marzio, who say Partey is one of the names on the list being explored by the Italian giants.
According to Sky and Di Marzio, Juventus will sign a midfielder in the winter window and are looking at various options, Partey among them.
The club have a wish list of player and they ‘like’ the Arsenal man, particularly as they believe a deal for him can be reached on ‘favourable terms’.
This is backed up by Il Bianconero who say the player remains on the list being looked at by Juventus’ hierarchy, namely Cristiano Giuntoli and Giovanni Manna.
They’ve given priority to adding a midfielder and Partey is an option because there is a belief that the his price is ‘falling’.
There are obstacles to signing the Arsenal man, though, namely that he will be away at the African Cup of Nations at the start of next year and that, at the moment, the Italian club are looking at a different profile.
Arsenal’s ‘requests’ for the player, which are not made clear, are also seen as a problem despite the belief that the player’s price tag is falling anyway.
He’s a name that remains on the list regardless, although seemingly not very high up it for now, something which can always change the closer we get to the January transfer window opening.
