On Thursday, journalist Ignazio Genuardi stated Lazio continue to push to sign Tottenham Hotspur’s Hugo Lloris. He also stated the goalkeeper has agreed to lower his demands and would be willing to take a three-year deal worth €2m per year.
Alfredo Pedullà now states Lazio president Claudio Lotito has decided to ‘go all the way’ to secure the Tottenham star’s services.
The Serie A side and their officials have to sort out both the economic and sporting aspect of the operation.
In addition to this, the Frenchman’s salary would be more than double what Provedel gets. The latter, for now, is considered as an ‘absolute guarantee’ under Maurizio Sarri.
Despite this, Lotito ‘wants to close’ the deal for the Tottenham player. He feels Lloris is a ‘specialist’ and his addition would further bolster Lazio’s squad.
Alfredo Pedullà states the president held another telephone conversation with Lloris’ entourage on Thursday evening, where he was set to ‘insist and offer the contract requested’.
The journalist adds the operation could be closed soon if the Spurs star doesn’t ask for guarantees to become the first-choice goalkeeper at Lazio.
