AC Milan are coming back. Yep, we’ve heard it all before, but this they’re really coming back, thanks to a whole lot of money from China.

Finishing an unacceptable seventh last season, there’s work to do for Milan and that’s likely to cost a great deal of money. Corriere dello Sport expect the spending to start in January, and then of course pick up speed for the summer.

Harry Kane Corriere dello Sport September 8thThe Italian newspaper pick out two main targets, one of which is Marco Verratti. The excellent PSG midfielder would be a brilliant signing for Milan, but would cost a great deal and may not quite fancy leaving Paris for a Milan rebuilding project.

Corriere dello Sport say that Milan need more than one dream, and the other is Harry Kane.

The newspaper say of Tottenham’s striker: ‘Powerful, fast, versatile, able to play as a first and second striker, in England he’s considered the heir of Teddy Sheringham (is he?!). His value has already exceeded €50m, but his features and age make him an important objective for the business, driven by the desire, as always, of the entrepreneurs of Chinese football.’

Perfect for AC Milan.

If Kane was to leave Tottenham next summer, and that’s a big IF at this stage, then he may not choose to do so for the Milan project, it’s a risky destination until the club are clearly cementing themselves back towards the top of Serie A.

But there’s no problem with Milan aiming high, it’s what they should be doing. You’ve got to have a dream, if you don’t have a dream, then how you gonna have a dream come true?
