On Thursday, Corriere dello Sport believed that there was a chance that Leeds United loanee Rasmus Kristensen could be included in AS Roma’s list for the Europa League to face Feyenoord.
The Dane had initially been left out of the September list because of FFP issues, but the seemingly impending exit of Zeki Celik, who was registered in his stead, could free up a space for him.
However, the right-back’s exit from AS Roma failed to materialise, and Corriere della Sera’s Roma edition now believe he will stay on the list, at the Leeds man’s expense.
This will come as a blow for the Denmark international, who has kept a starting role under Daniele De Rossi following the sacking of José Mourinho.
The fact the new manager likes him could have certainly meant his desire to include him in the deal, but Corriere della Sera explain that the failure to get rid of Celik ‘opens up a possibility for his inclusion’ on the UEFA list ‘at the expense of Kristensen’.
Therefore, there could be some bad news on the way for Leeds loanee, who has done everything he can and more to turn his season around in Italy after a rocky start.
