Juan Mata is a transfer target for Fenerbahce, with a hope a deal can be done because of an assumed frostiness with Jose Mourinho.

The former Valencia graduate replaced Jesse Lingard in the 63th minute at Wembley but Mourinho decided to sub him off on the 90th minute for Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

Turkey’s Milliyet newspaper are among several in the country reporting that there’s a possibility of a transfer being done, but that’s all it is.

Fenerbahce reportedly want a number 10 to operate between midfield and attack after Diego Ribas’ departure to Flamengo, and Mata would be perfect for the role.

Having been frustrated attempts to sign Twente’s Hakim Ziyech, the Yellow Canaries turned their attentions to Manchester United player. Fenerbahce would prefer a loan move for the Spaniard, but that seems an unlikely scenario.

This just all seems to be a dream for Fenerbahce right now, and it remains to be seen if they try to make that dream come true.
