Just under a couple of weeks ago, Danish newspaper BT brought up the prospect of Frederik Rønnow moving during the January transfer window.
Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest had been keen in the summer window and could ‘come again’ for the player, explained BT.
The 25 year old goalkeeper is important for Brondby but financial reasons could see the club sell the player in the January window.
A move to Crystal Palace had ‘ran aground at the last minute’ in August, and there’s a belief there’ll still be interest at the London club.
Today another Danish newspaper, Ekstra Bladet, does similar. The player’s Crystal Palace transfer failing at the last minute is once again referenced, and it’s stated ‘the possibility is there again’.
Ekstra Bladet don’t explain whether that means Crystal Palace have returned with their interest, or whether it’s just an assumption based on what happened in the last window.
With Rønnow’s contract expiring in June 2019, and Brondby needing the money, should Crystal Palace put a reasonable offer in then a transfer sounds very possible this month.
