As we often mention here, the Portuguese press is always following the steps of their players and managers in other European leagues.
On Wednesday, for example, we already covered their reaction to Carlos Carvalhal’s crisis at Sheffield Wednesday, as they tried to show that things are not so bad for the Owls.
But the opposite has been happening to Marco Silva, who’s been having a good Premier League campaign and getting Watford to sixth place in the table.
Newspaper O Jogo has a story taking all the positive bits written by the English media after Watford’s win over Swansea City at the weekend.
They take all the compliments made by The Telegraph, The Guardian and The Independent to show how Marco Silva is currently being praised in England.
O Jogo themselves claim the Watford manager has been doing ‘miracles’ and is already being pointed out to big clubs.
To finish their story, they claim that “there are still no rumours about the clubs where the manager could follow his career, but Vicarage Road seems small to house his talent”.
