The Portuguese press doesn’t really have much about Manchester United’s chase for Sporting captain Bruno Fernandes today.
There are only two stories coming from local newspapers, and both of them only talk about the possibility of his departure after the weekend.
One of the stories comes from Jornal de Notícias. They list all the players who could leave the country after the match between Benfica and Sporting on Sunday.
Bruno is one of them, with Manchester United’s chase being mentioned, but with no new details on how the negotiations have been going.
There’s something similar coming from Record. They say Velez Sarsfield midfielder Lucas Robertone could join Sporting in case Bruno Fernandes leaves.
It’s reported that claims regarding the 24-year-old’s move to Old Trafford are making Sporting look for a replacement.
After months covering the Bruno Fernandes saga, we can say it definitely looks like Sporting are ready for his exit, but they’re not really sure of why Manchester United haven’t made their moves yet.
