Roderick Miranda is on the verge of leaving Wolves, according to claims coming from Portugal on Sunday.
Record reports that Miranda would be close to signing for SC Braga, stating he’s ‘about to return’ to Portuguese football.
Braga have chosen the Wolves player as their priority to replace Ricardo Ferreira, who is ruled out with injury for the rest of the season, and the wheels of a transfer, which could be a loan, are already in motion.
It’s no surprise the Portuguese newspaper say Jorge Mendes is helping the transfer along, the agent has close connections to Wolves, and Miranda is represented by Gestifute.
The player himself is said to be keen on a move, wanting to get more minutes on the pitch and enjoy more prominence. Having dropped down Nuno Espirito Santo’s Wolves pecking order, Miranda believes it’s best to leave.
Recent allegations of match fixing involving Miranda, with the player accused over a match during his time at Rio Ave, are stated as having no impact whatsoever.
The Wolves defender is convinced of the case to prove his innocence and isn’t worried about returning to Portuguese football.
