Portuguese newspaper O Jogo have a slant on Nottingham Forest’s move for Gil Dias.
After the initial claims of a loan agreement between the Championship club and AS Monaco, O Jogo now report Nottingham Forest will have a clause in the deal to sign Dias on a permanent basis next summer.
O Jogo point out Dias would be the fourth recent Portuguese signing after Tobias Figueiredo, João Carvalho and Diogo Gonçalves, and it’s another sign of the way things are going at the English club.
Jorge Mendes has been helping out in a similar to way to what has happened at Wolves previously, and with this being a Monaco loan there’s another Mendes connection in that.
Dias is a 21 year old winger and has previously been on loan from Monaco at Varzim, Rio Ave and Fiorentina. The Rio Ave loan shows another Jorge Mendes connection in the player’s transfer history.
The youngster is said to already be in England for his medical and is expected to be presented on Friday or over the weekend.
