Even though the Portuguese press continues to give Paulo Fonseca big attention, they don’t seem to have any concrete news on what his future will be.
The manager is highlighted in all of his home country sports newspapers today, after winning the Ukrainian league for Shakhtar Donetsk at the weekend.
The outlets obviously recall he’s been linked to a move, especially to England, so they name a few possible destinations. A Bola says ‘he’s been linked to several clubs from the five major leagues, especially Everton and West Ham’.
Meanwhile, O Jogo says ‘an interest from Arsenal and Everton has been spoken of’.
But the only actual information they have is words from the manager, who said a little a about it in a Ukraine press conference.
“In the coming days you’ll know about my future. I’m happy here, because we won everything, but in few days you’ll have news,” (via O Jogo).
Diário de Notícias, the newspaper who claimed that Fonseca ‘should soon commit to West Ham’ has gone quite since then.
As we pointed out on Saturday, their claims weren’t made with a lot of confidence, so we wouldn’t be so sure about this move.
