Marco Silva is expected to sign for Everton this week, according to Portuguese outlet Notícias ao Minuto.
The website claims negotiations are still on, but close to an ending, with the agreement expected to be reached in the next few days.
Notícias ao Minuto reports that since sacking Sam Allardyce, Everton have always had Marco Silva as their number one option. But there has been some problems due to Watford’s complains about an ilegal approach earlier this year.
That’s all they have to say for now, with no further details on the contract length, the salary he will make or any possible signings the manager wants this summer.
The Portuguese press, in general, has been very positive about this move.
Last week, newspaper Record claimed that the manager was ‘in tune’ with Everton as his agent negotiated with the club. The Toffees’ project was described as attractive for him, with the arrival of Marcel Brands also getting a mention.
