Earlier this week, we covered a story from France which said Chelsea are interested in bringing Lille sporting director Luís Campos to London.
It was France Football who said the Blues are currently searching for someone for the position, and Campos would be a guy with several clubs keen.
Now Portuguese newspaper O Jogo brings a story about it, and although they don’t really confirm the Blues’ approach, they may have some interesting updates on the situation.
The outlet takes the claims from France Football to report Chelsea’s approach, and then says they’ve learned that Campos is still to make a decision about the offer.
O Jogo confirms that there are many clubs who are interested in hiring his services, but just like France Football, they don’t name the sides who would be competing with the Blues.
Luís Campos was a manager in Portugal for many years. He later worked at Real Madrid as a scout, then became a director at Monaco until moving to Lille.
O Jogo’s interest is because Campos is Portuguese.
