On Monday, Catalan outlet Mundo Deportivo reported Liverpool’s wish to sign Barcelona midfielder Pedri.
It’s been claimed that Jurgen Klopp is ‘very interested’ in the 18-year-old, even though there was a stance from Spanish club and player ruling out a move for him in the summer.
To fuel the story a little, Mundo Deportivo decided to make a poll for Barcelona fans to say whether they’re in favour or against Pedri’s potential move to Liverpool.
It turns out that 86% of voters are against the sale. And from the little percentage that would accept his departure, most of them agree that the player should move for over €120m.
The small amount of Barça fans who’d take less than that are divided between 1.21% who’d accept less than €40m, 1.05% who’d take between €40m and €80m, and 1.96% who’d let Pedri go for between €80m and €120m.
Mundo Deportivo restates that Barcelona already declined an offer of €40m for Pedri in the summer and are not planning to sell him this year either. The player is set to have an important role in the club’s new project, and it looks like in case they listen to their fans, that’s one more argument to keep the teenager at the Camp Nou.
This Liverpool story should slip away fairly quickly.
