According to a claim in the Swedish media, Östersund manager Graham Potter is close to joining Swansea City after his players were told he’s in talks with the Swans.
In the past week the former West Bromwich Albion and Stock City defender has been linked with the vacant Swansea City manager’s job.
Fotboll Direkt have reported on the latest developments in Swansea City’s pursuit of Potter, and it seems the Championship club are closing in on the Englishman.
Potter will today manage OFK for the last time when they take on Hacken, according to the claims, despite recent comments from the Swedish club’s chairman Daniel Kindberg.
The OFK chief yesterday denied any talks were being conducted with Swansea City, although various reports suggest otherwise.
Fotboll Direkt also report OFK are looking for a replacement for Potter, with veteran coach Azrudin Valentic the likely candidate.
It now seems Swansea City are closing in on Potter and they should be able to announce his arrival soon.
