Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Mousa Dembele’s contract at the north London club runs down in 2019.
According to Calciomercato.it, the Premier League club are looking to extend his contract beyond next season. However, the talks over renewing the current deal “do not seem to go the right way”.
Dembele’s current situation at Tottenham “favours for him to leave the club” in the transfer window. Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino is open to the idea of sanctioning his sale this summer.
Their valuation for the Belgium international starts around €25m and the potential suitors should meet their minimum asking price, if they want to sign Dembele. Elsewhere the figure has been reported as €30m.
Inter Milan are looking at the option of bringing Dembele to the San Siro, claims the report. The Nerazzurri coach Luciano Spalletti wanted to bring in a midfielder to bolster that position for the next season.
Spalletti has a transfer wishlist and Dembele is now on top of that list. The Tottenham player has been identified as the “main objective” to strengthen the midfield for the Serie A outfit in the summer transfer window.
But things will have to wait, with Inter needing to sort out their finances first.
