Nottingham Forest seem to find themselves in a complicated situation regarding their pursuit to sign of Loic Bade from Rennes.

As reported by French outlet RMC Sport, the clubs already have an agreement for the transfer, as the defender is supposed to move to the City Ground on a one-year loan deal, with the Reds having a buying option worth €14m.

The problem is that Rennes ‘have not found a replacement’ in time. They were supposed to sign Sinaly Diomande, but according to the latest information the player has decided to stay at Lyon. This may impact on Bade’s transfer to Nottingham Forest.

RMC Sport writes that Bade has been in England since this morning, but the negotiations haven’t advanced so far. It’s said his entourage are ‘in the dark’ as they wait for the ‘green light’ from the French club.

That approval, however, ‘may never happen’. That’s why his transfer to Nottingham Forest ‘may ultimately fall apart’, unless Rennes end up changing their minds in the final hours of the transfer window.
