Back on Tuesday, we covered the Seville press bringing some news regarding the future of Arsenal fullback Hector Bellerin.

It was claimed his agent was in London to speak to the Gunners regarding his potential departure from the club.

It’s now AS who features a piece on the 27-year-old’s situation. They do confirm that there’s been a meeting between his representatives and the London side, but also point out how hard this move will be.

Bellerin wants a move back to Real Betis, where he’s just spent a season on loan, but despite his wish, the exit from Arsenal is ‘complicated and slow’.

The outlet even go as far as claiming the transfer to the La Liga side has now become ‘increasingly remote’ at this stage.

The Spanish club are struggling to afford the signing due to the salary cap, and the Gunners are still to free him by rescinding his contract.

AS adds that the player has other options in Italy and Spain.

However, none of the alternatives have ‘gained strength’ lately, as his plan is really to leave Arsenal for a return to Betis.
