Federico Chiesa’s agents are currently the ones leading the charge for him to leave Liverpool, offering him around Italy to attract suitors.
That’s according to journalist Sacha Tavolieri, who reports that Chiesa is ‘preparing to leave’ Liverpool despite only arriving in the summer.
He reports that the 27-year-old has made the decision to depart Anfield after failing to break into the picture under Arne Slot this season.
His prospects of doing so seem slim as Liverpool continue to shine and clubs in Italy are ready to move for him if the Reds open up to the idea.
Atalanta have already contacted Chiesa’s representatives to explore the possibility of a loan with a purchase option included for the end of the season. Liverpool were made aware of this and ‘accepted the possibility’ Chiesa could leave in January.
At the moment, though, a permanent exit is not on the cards and the idea is that he would depart temporarily to ‘regain his health’ before then returning to the Premier League leaders in the best possible condition.
Chiesa’s representatives have also offered him Napoli, Juventus and Fiorentina but none of them have made any real concrete approach. That means Atalanta can be said to be out in front, but there is plenty of race left to be run before they get the forward out of Liverpool in January.
