At the weekend, TuttoMercatoWeb reported Rangers are keen on bringing Atalanta’s Sam Lammers to Ibrox in the summer.
Michael Beale’s side are close to securing the 26-year-old’s services if the latest report from today’s TuttoMercatoWeb is to be believed. It’s said the forward ‘will be sold on a permanent basis’ to Rangers.
In fact, the operation is so close to being finalised that the report states the Dutchman will have a medical with Rangers ‘tomorrow’. TMW don’t give any information on where the Rangers medical will take place.
That’s all the report has to say about the player who’s set to join Rangers. He struggled to impress for Gian Piero Gasperini’s side since he joined them from PSV Eindhoven in 2020.
Lammers has been out on loan at Eintracht Frankfurt, Empoli and Sampdoria in the last two years and had mixed times at those clubs.
After a disappointing period, both Beale and Rangers will be hoping that things can improve drastically for the attacker at Ibrox next season.
