On April 12th, we covered Groningen managing director Hans Nijland’s interview with De Telegraaf, where he revealed that Barcelona’s interest Ludovit Reis is ‘very serious’.
Saturday’s edition of Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf brings the latest developments around the 18-year-old’s future as he continues to be linked with the La Liga winners.
It is claimed the teenager will be living his dream by making a switch to the Camp Nou in the summer and as a part of the transfer, his current employer will receive a ‘spectacular’ transfer fee of €7.7m from the Catalan club.
The midfielder will ‘quickly travel’ to Barcelona where he will sign a five-year deal. He and and his agent Aleksandar Bursac will meet Ernesto Valverde and the player can start preparations for the new season.
De Telegraaf explains there is a commitment from Barcelona that the Dutchman will be included in the Blaugrana’s pre-season tour, where they will travel to Japan to face local club Vissel Kobe and Chelsea.
Despite his age, the report explains Reis will be a part of the first team and the summer tour will give him an opportunity to showcase his talent as Barcelona make limited investment on foreign players for their B team.
