Tottenham Hotspur owned forward Vincent Janssen has spoken to the Turkish media about his future, and whether he’ll remain in Istanbul after his loan spell ends.
The Netherlands international joined the London club last year, but was often overlooked by Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino, even when Harry Kane was absent through injury.
Speaking to Hürriyet, Janssen was quizzed if he will have another season playing in Turkey: “Of course if I get such an offer, I’ll think of what I’ll do from time to time. But it’s too early to talk about it. Now I have to focus on business.
“At the end of the season, we will be able to assess the situation, of course we can.”
Janssen is still looking for the goalscoring form which earned him a move to Tottenham from AZ, but his hardwork has been praised by the Fenerbahçe faithful.
The Dutchman has scored just three goals since arriving in Istanbul, after recently going five games without finding the net.
It’s likely Janssen will have a decision to make on his future in the summer, and whether he’ll return to Tottenham to fight for a place in Pochettino’s team. The opinion of Spurs’ manager will surely play a big part in any potential move.
