One year ago, when Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira was having a loan at Atletico Madrid, it was pretty clear that the player would soon head back to London, as his time in Spain was quite disappointing.
Now, this time having a spell at Fiorentina, the scenario seems to be completely the opposite, as his permanent move to La Viola is taken with certainty by the Italian media.
Outlet Firenze Viola today writes that the Serie A side’s right to buy Torreira is ‘ready to be exercised’, with the club spending €15m on the signing.
Not only Torreira, but also his family, are said to be quite happy in Italy, and that gave an ‘extra boost’ for the possibility of a permanent move.
The midfielder, who joined Arsenal on a €28.5m move from Sampdoria in 2018, now seems quite close to leaving the Gunners for good.
