Manchester City’s interest in Nabil Touaizi has been covered several times during the winter transfer window. Pep Guardiola and those in charge of Manchester City’s recruitment have an eye to the future and Valencia’s Nabil Touaizi has caught the attention of Txiki Begiristain and others.
Valencia regional sport newspaper Super Deporte report on Tuesday that Manchester City have come to an agreement to sign the striker, who they describe as ‘a diamond of the quarry’. Spanish youth systems are often referred to as quarries in Spain, the idea being it’s a mine to produce goods for the future.
Super Deporte report that Nabil Touaizi is ‘on his way to Manchester’ to sign for the Premier League club. Manchester City have agreed to pay Valencia €350k for the player, plus a further €2m should he make a first team appearance.
Manchester City could have signed Nabil Touaizi for nothing, given that he’s not on a full professional contract, and then been forced to pay training compensation. Instead they negotiated a deal with Valencia, and have their eyes on other youngsters at the club.
