Kevin Mirallas joined Olympiacos on loan in January 2018 and Everton allowed the 31-year-old to join Fiorentina on a temporary deal last summer.
He has a year left on his contract at Goodison Park, but it’s likely that his time with the Merseyside club could come to an end this summer.
The Belgian left his country and made a switch to Lille in 2014 and since then he has been at clubs outside his homeland.
Thursday’s edition of Het Nieuwsblad claims the winger wants to return to Belgium because his family is keen. They had been keen to stay in Florence, which is understandable, but the Tuscany club haven’t moved for a permanent transfer.
Standard Liège, Antwerp and Anderlecht are the three clubs from the Jupiler Pro League side who are aware of the player’s intentions. However, it is will not be simple for them to land him.
Mirallas came up through the ranks of Standard Liège before joining Lille 15 years ago and he had earlier expressed his desire to return to his former club.
But the report states he won’t do so without thinking about the finances.
The transfer fee and wages could be substantial, especially if there are other clubs outside Belgian interested in acquiring Mirallas’ services.
