Reported Leicester City target Orkun Kökçü has been urged to leave Feyenoord sooner rather than later for a Premier League side.
Kökçü has long been linked with a move away from the Dutch side, who he has been a regular for since moving up to their first team in 2018.
At 21-years-old he still has plenty of development left in him and that is believed to have attracted several Premier League clubs, Leicester included.
They were first linked last year, when the player himself revealed why a move to the King Power hadn’t happened.
They were again linked in March before the rumours resurfaced this summer and it was explained Feyenoord were doing everything in their power to keep hold of their prized asset for the time being.
Ultimately a move never happened, and the midfielder has continued to make regular appearances for Feyenoord.
His latest saw him captaining his side and scoring a goal in the 3-0 win over Sparta Rotterdam, something that earned positive reviews but also advice about a move to a team like Leicester.
“That is an outstanding player,” FR Fans report analyst Wessel Penning saying.
“Nice that he is captain. Now hope he can make a move to a top European club at the end of the season.”
That sparked commentator Suse van Kleef to suggest he should make an ‘immediate step’, something Penning agreed with.
“Yes, like Wijnaldum did at Newcastle or Van Dijk at Southampton,” he added.
