For as long as we can remember, there was only ever one club after Felipe Anderson, and that was Manchester United.
The player himself recently admitted he wasn’t quite sure why his transfer to the Premier League never materialised, and now it seems another option has opened up for him.
Over the past couple of days, more and more reports from Italy have emerged that Chelsea are the ones now looking at the 23-year-old, and all of the attention has apparently gone to his head.
Gazzetta dello Sport on Monday say the winger didn’t show up for his pre-season medical last Wednesday as he looks likely to try and force a move away from the Serie A club, with the Premier League club’s interest the reason behind this behaviour.
The player apparently still hasn’t shown up to training camp, but is expected soon.
Despite all this, the player will be given clearance to go to Rio for the Olympics, which, in turn, will be a chance for him and for Lazio to put him in the shop window ahead of a likely transfer in the summer.
The Italian newspaper seem pretty convinced of a Felipe Anderson exit, and this Chelsea interest, with Antonio Conte now in charge, is one to keep an eye on.
