As Chelsea and Paris Saint Germain continue to look strong in the race for Brazilian wonderkid Endrick, it seems Barcelona can’t compete with them for his signing.
Barça’s links with the youngster got a lot stronger last weekend, when manager Xavi admitted that there have been contacts with the player and the transfer would depend on him.
However, as Marca today writes about this situation, they claim that the Camp Nou side won’t fight Chelsea and PSG for this signing.
It’s claimed that Barcelona can’t join a fight for a player who’ll only leave Palmeiras for a price close to his release clause, which stands at €60m.
Furthermore, Marca writes that Barcelona isn’t the only place that Endrick visited, since he’d been in London and Paris to speak to Chelsea and PSG.
It’s said it’s ‘evident’ the 16-year-old is looking for the ‘best possible contract’, and that’s the kind of tussle that Barcelona just can’t get in, as they continue having financial issues.
Endrick can only leave Brazil in 2024, when he turns 18, but clubs rush to get his signing guaranteed long before that.
