On August 3rd, L’Equipe reported AS Monaco winger Rachid Ghezzal is edging closer towards completing a move to Leicester City and the deal could be completed this weekend.
It was claimed the Premier League outfit had finally held concrete talks with the French club for the 26-year-old.
Today’s edition of French newspaper claims, after several rounds of negotiations between the two sides, they have reached an agreement for the transfer of the Algerian international.
Leonardo Jardim’s side will collect €14m from the sale of their player, who will join the Foxes this summer. Monaco face Paris Saint-Germain in the pre-season friendly fixture in China and Ghezzal is not included in the squad.
A four year contract has already been agreed.
Claude Puel saw Riyad Mahrez leave his side and join Manchester City and the former Leicester star’s compatriot will replace him for the new season.
