Tottenham Hotspur and Everton are among several clubs to have Fenerbahçe’s Kim Min-jae on their radar.
That’s according to Takvim, who provide an insight into the conditions needed for clubs to take him away from the Süper Lig side this summer.
Fenerbahçe took the defender from Beijing Guoan in 2021 and he impressed in his debut season in Turkey. He made 39 appearances in all competitions, with eight of them coming in European competitions.
Apart from Spurs and the Toffees, Napoli, AC Milan and Sevilla are also named as the 25-year-old’s suitors. With the South Korea international having ‘serious suitors’ from Italy, England and Spain, there is a curiosity over where he could move next.
Fenerbahçe president Ali Koç will hold a critical meeting with the centre-back’s agent in Istanbul. The pair are set to evaluate offers for the player, after which the latter’s fate at the club will be determined.
Min-jae has a €25m release clause in his contract that runs down in 2025. Tottenham and Everton, for now, have him on their radar. It’s not made clear if either of the English clubs are ready to pay the fee needed to secure his services in this window.
With the defender said to be attracting interest from several clubs, he was quizzed about his future in South Korea.
“There may be attractive offers. However, I am happy at Fenerbahçe right now. We have important goals. I do not want to let my team down. Therefore, I am not thinking about a transfer at the moment,” Min-jae said, as quoted by Hürriyet.
