Norwich City took Dennis Srbeny from German side SC Paderborn in January 2018 and he went on to make 14 appearances in the Championship in his first six months at Carrow Road.
However, things haven’t gone well for the striker in the last 18 months and he’s not started in a league fixture since the beginning of the 2018/19 campaign.
This season, he’s been restricted to only 41 minutes of action in the Premier League, which came from eight appearances.
According to Kicker, the 25-year-old’s former club are interested in signing him in the winter market and they state the German attacker should ‘come from Norwich’ to Paderborn.
It’s claimed the player ‘should largely agree’ to join the Bundesliga side in second half of this season. Srbeny’s limited playing time with Daniel Farke’s side has given Paderborn an ‘opportunity’ to sign him.
Considering that Srbeny hasn’t started for Norwich for more than a year, a move away from the Premier League side in January could help him feature regularly at another club.
Srbeny’s contract expires in 2021 and Kicker doesn’t specify if Paderborn are planning to sign him on loan or a permanent transfer.
