Ever since their contracts at Everton ran out, the likes of Tom Davies and Yerry Mina have been looking for a new club.
The former has been linked with a move to Italy, while the latter seemingly came close to signing for Lille, amid some interest in Turkey as well.
However, they both remain free agents to this day, and TuttoMercatoWeb have a tiny bit of news when it comes to the Colombian.
That’s interest from Cagliari in Serie A, who were promoted from Serie B last year through the playoffs, led there by none other than Claudio Ranieri.
As they look to strengthen their squad to try and avoid going straight back down, the website claim that the veteran manager has ‘asked his club for a centre-back with experience’.
They initially tried to sign José Luis Palomino from Atalanta, but that is proving difficult to pull off, which is why the Mina idea, a free agent since walking away from Everton, has appeared.
It’s said the defender is ‘an idea’ for the Serie A side, as the player is ‘looking for the right opportunity to relaunch himself’ following many years of injuries at Goodison Park.
While Cagliari are eyeing him up, it’s worth pointing out ash ‘no official offer’ has been made just yet.
