Southampton midfielder Mario Lemina, who’s currently on loan at Galatasaray, has told the media he’s very happy at the Turkish club.
Lemina joined Galatasaray on a loan deal from Southampton last summer and has impressed with his performances.
He’s established himself as a key player in Fatih Terim’s side and has stated he would like to remain with the Super Lig club beyond this season.
“I am very happy at Galatasaray and I want to continue at the club. But we have to wait and see what will happen at the end of the season” he said as covered by Fanatik.
Like the majority of his teammates, Lemina didn’t have the best of starts at Galatasaray, but he managed to improve his performances towards the end of the first half of the season.
He’s become a important member of the Istanbul side as they look to win their third successive league title with nine games to play.
However, the Southampton player’s redemption fee of €16m is likely to be an issue for the Istanbul club. There have been reports they will offer €8m to the Premier League side for the midfielder, due to their financial situation.
What Southampton will make of that is unknown.
