Struggling to live up to his price tag and potential at Everton, Moise Kean spent last season on loan at Paris Saint-Germain.
He did really well there in a team full of stars, and there was even a feeling that the young Italian could stay in France going forward, only for him to eventually return to Goodison Park in the summer.
There was then the question of whether or not he would stay and play at Everton, but he ultimately was sent back to Juventus on a two-year loan, with a compulsory option to buy.
The idea was for him to come back and try to help make up for Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure, not replace him, but he’s struggled to even do that, scoring just three goals in 17 appearances so far.
Corriere dello Sport have a big article on him, looking at his struggles under Max Allegri, as he has yet to justify the reasoning behind the Serie A side potentially paying €38m to bring him back when they initially sold him for around £25m.
The belief is that his current manager ‘doesn’t think he’s ready yet’, despite the club betting ‘strongly’ on the player as they ‘expect a lot from him’.
While all this is ‘still early’, as he is still only 21, the fact of the matter is ‘if he is to be the present of Juventus’, then the Everton loanee (he’s still technically that right now) ‘must do much more’.
A tough situation, but seemingly one the Toffees will be glad to be rid of, regardless of their current situation under Rafa Benitez.
