Grêmio were relegated from the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A and that could allow other clubs to raid them to take some of their players.

On December 13th, we covered multiple claims from Brazil that explained Brentford are leading the race to sign Grêmio fullback Vanderson. It was also stated the Bees are set to beat Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle for his signature.

The 20-year-old is also wanted by Udinese and this is reported by TuttoMercatoWeb. The Serie A side, however, will not have it easy to sign the defender because of the interest from Thomas Frank’s side.

It’s said Brentford are ‘trying to burn’ the competition from Udinese to secure the right-back’s signature.

TMW further add the player would be close to being transferred to the Premier League club for an overall fee of €14m, which includes a fixed fee of €11m and an additional €3m in potential bonuses.

The English club are keen to land the South American, with the operation to take Vanderson to Brentford being well underway and can only be changed if Udinese or another side manage to overtake them at the last minute.
