Leicester City target André Almeida continues to wait for Benfica to take a decision over his transfer out of Portugal.
As revealed by the Portuguese media a couple of weeks ago, the Foxes have already made an approach for the player to find out about his price.
But the Eagles are not keen on letting him go without signing a replacement first, and that’s what is delaying the process.
Newspaper O Jogo has a big story today saying Benfica have just made an approach for Roma right-back Bruno Peres, who could join the club on a loan deal.
Regarding Almeida, they claim the player continues to wait for news about his transfer, especially because when he last renewed his contract, he was told he was free to leave in case a €10m bid was made for him.
The promise has changed a bit, with Benfica now demanding €15m, but it seems they will continue holding him until his replacement is finally signed.
Meanwhile, it seems that Leicester City haven’t moved too. Since the news of the approach, the Portuguese press hasn’t had any updates on the Foxes making a bid for the 27-year-old.
