The Italian press remain confident that Edin Dzeko will leave AS Roma at the end of the season and they’ve linked the striker with a move to West Ham United on numerous occasions.
Calciomercato brings the latest development regarding the Hammers’ chances of signing the Bosnian in the summer.
Nicolò Zaniolo’s agent Claudio Vigorelli has acted as an intermediary between the two clubs.
It’s stated the Serie A outfit’s sporting director Frederic Massara held a meeting with Vigorelli to evaluate the Premier League side’s first proposal for the former Manchester City man.
So far, Manuel Pellegrini’s side have tabled a €10m offer to secure the 33-year-old’s services, but Massara has sent back the proposal to West Ham and Roma are demanding €20m to part ways with their player.
Dzeko, as reported by the Italian website, has already said ‘yes’ to West Ham after he found an agreement in principle with the London based club for a two-year deal and the wages that he is currently earning at Roma.
Calciomercato explains that Everton and Inter Milan are also interested in Dzeko, but Roma have no plans to let him join their direct rivals.
