Andrew Robertson left Hull City and made a switch to Liverpool in 2017 and in the first few months at Anfield the left-back didn’t get chances because Jurgen Klopp preferred Alberto Moreno ahead of him.

The Spaniard suffered an ankle injury last December and was forced to spend close to two month on the sidelines, which saw Jurgen Klopp field the Scotland international in his place.

After Moreno regained full fitness, Klopp continued with Robertson and, this didn’t go down well with the 26-year-old.

“I did not like that Klopp opted for Robertson, I think I deserved some chance after recovering from the injury. I did not like being taken away when I recovered from the injury,” he said during an interview with Onda Cero’s program El Transistor.

The former Sevilla defender’s contract with the Merseyside club will run out at the end of the season and so far he hasn’t signed a new deal to extend his stay with the Premier League outfit.

Moreno confirmed the Reds have offered him a new deal, but he’s yet to make a decision on his future.

“Liverpool have offered me a new contract, but no agreement has been reached. In January the market opens and we will see. To this day, we have nothing closed neither with Liverpool nor with other clubs,” the fullback explained.
