For the past month, we’ve been impressed with the many South American youngsters which have been linked to Manchester City or the City Football Group.
There’s now one more teenager who seems to be on his way to this little empire, who is Caio Roque. As reported by Coluna do Fla, he’s rescinded his contract with Flamengo this week.
The story says the 18-year-old is signing a five-year deal with Belgian side Lommel, but apparently, there’s a chance he could move to England in the meantime.
O Dia, who broke the news last week, said there’s a clause where Manchester City would pay Flamengo around £6m in case he makes his debut for the Premier League side.
So even though these youngsters may not move directly to Pep Guardiola’s side, it seems the City Group have been making it clear they could end up in England in the future.
Caio Roque is the second South American youngster to make a move to clubs from the City Group this summer, as Grêmio’s Diego Rosa is reportedly on his way to Manchester City.
There have been also been reports about approaches for Palmeiras’ Wesley, Fluminense’s Evanilson, River Plate’s Jorge Carrascal and Santos’ Alison Matheus.
