Leeds United are in the picture to sign Sassuolo’s Hamed Traoré, brother of Manchester United player Amad Diallo.
On Friday, Corriere dello Sport interviewed the Serie A side’s CEO, Giovanni Carnevali, who admitted his side have received a request from the Whites for the 22-year-old.
Apart from Leeds, AC Milan are showing interest in the midfielder. That’s as per Il Resto del Carlino, who have a fresh quote from Carnevali stating that his side don’t want to sell more than two players in the ongoing window.
The majority of the report focuses on Paris Saint-Germain and AS Roma efforts to sign Gianluca Scamacca and Davide Frattesi respectively. Towards the end, there is a mention of Traoré.
It’s claimed the Ivory Coast international is ‘more expendable’ for Carnevali, and Leeds and the Serie A winners are in the picture for him.
Il Resto del Carlino state ‘there is a request’ from Jesse Marsch’s side, while the Rossoneri are also interested.
Over at Gazzetta dello Sport, they also discuss Stefano Pioli’s side looking at a few players to bolster their squad. However, there is no mention of Traoré as their priority is to sign other players this summer.
This includes Club Brugge star Charles De Ketelaere. Milan, like in the case of Traoré, will have to face a potential battle from Leeds for the Belgium international.
Gazzetta add Leeds will provide competition to the San Siro club for De Ketelaere.
They state ‘some sharks’ could appear for him in mid-July and therefore, it may make sense for Milan to accelerate their efforts to sign the Club Brugge player.
