On Tuesday, Germany’s Kicker poured a lot of cold water on the idea of Joelinton moving to Newcastle United.
They said the Hoffenheim striker was with the Bundesliga side at their training ground in Zuzenhausen and that the Brazilian was set to join his teammates on their training camp in Windischgarsten.
Furthermore, according to their information, ‘a rapid departure of the 22-year-old’ wasn’t expected.
Well, they’ve completely changed all of that.
In a fresh Wednesday article, Kicker point out their claims of yesterday, they’re not trying to hide from them, and then explain everything has changed.
Joelinton could leave ‘in the near future’, and talks with Newcastle United have picked up some real speed.
He’s been pulled out of Hoffenheim’s squad which will play Jahn Regensburg today in a friendly.
And the reason is ‘negotiations with Newcastle’. The player and his representatives are currently in talks with the Premier League club… with Kicker making it sound like those talks are happening right now.
They suggest a transfer fee would be around €40m.
